WAColor is a tweak dedicated to the customization of WhatsApp, allowing users to modify each single aspect of colors inside the application.
Settings are located directly inside the application, within the proprietary “Settings” panel.
Actually there are two default themes (Theme A and Theme Android), but is possible create and save one or more custom themes.
The following elements are currently available for personalization:
- Switch Color: changes the color assigned to switches
- Status Bar Elements: changes the color assigned to status bar elements
- Navigation Bar: changes the color assigned to navigation bar
- Navigation Button: changes the color assigned to buttons and/or elements located inside the navigation bar
- Bottom Bar Background: changes the color assigned to the section located beneath the main screen, containing shortcuts to access the various sections (Chat, Contacts, Settings…)
- Selected Category Button: changes the color used by icon and text of the selected section inside the bottom bar.
- Unselected Category Button: changes the color used by icon and text of the remaining sections inside the bottom bar. (basically, when not selected icon and text will use this color)
- Chat Bottom Bar: changes the color used by the bottom bar inside a chat screen
- Chat Bottom Button: changes the color used by the elements located in the bottom bar while inside a chat screen (microphone and photo icon)
- Scrolling Text: changes the color used to display the “last seen” text info (below each contact name)
- Alert Text Color: changes the color used by the “pop up” notifications
- My Bubble: changes the color used by your own “bubble” inside a chat screen
- Other Person Bubble: changes the color used by the “bubble” assigned to your contact messages (this will only affect your local chat)
- My Timestamp: changes the color used to display your timestamp
- Other Person Timestamp: changes the color used to display your contact timestamp (this will only affect your local chat)
- Group Event Bubble: changes the color used by the “bubble” showing group events
- Read Message Checkmark: changes the color used to display the “delivered-and-read” symbol inside your chats.
- My Audio Elements: changes the color used to display your own “bubble” while you send and audio message.
- Other Person Audio Elements: changes the color used to display your contact “bubble” while you receive an audio message.
- Contact Color (in chat): changes the color used to display the contact name inside a chat
- My Text Color: changes the color used to display your own text inside a chat
- My Url Text Color: changes the color used to display hyperlink elements sent by you inside a chat
- Other Person Text Color: changes the color used to display text received inside a chat (this will only affect your local chat)
- Other Person URL Text: changes the color used to display hyperlink elements received inside a chat (this will only affect your local chat)
- Tint Color
- SegmentedControls Color: changes the color used to display the “Segmented Controls” (for example, the top item inside the “Recent” section)
- Unread Circle Color: changes the color assigned to the circle shape and to the timestamp shown nearby a chat containing one or more unread messages.
- Index Color: changes the color used to display “Index” elements (for example, the right scrolling bar containing capital letters inside the Contacts section)
